We Use Leading-Edge Technology to Plan & Perform Sinus Lift Surgery

Our dentists will use our 3-D CT scanner, a special kind of X-ray that reveals far more detail than a conventional X-ray, to get a good look at your upper back jaw. It’s one of the most difficult areas to place dental implants since it is so close to your sinuses. The scanner helps our implant dentists precisely plan your procedure before it begins. We will also talk to you about our sedation options to ensure a more soothing experience.

Once they have the information they need, they will:

  • Use local anesthesia to numb your mouth and give you sedation if you’ve opted to receive it
  • Carefully lift a bit of bone from your upper jaw into your sinus cavity
  • Fill the space with material that promotes new bone growth
  • Place a few sutures to close the incision

In some cases, you may be able to receive a dental implant immediately after your procedure. However, you will typically need to allow new bone to develop for a few months before we place your implants.
