Board-Certified Dental Anesthesiologist Dr. Gordon Barnes Helps Patients Receive Care

Dr. Gordon Barnes is a board-certified dental anesthesiologist who practices in New York and New Jersey. He received his dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry and is a graduate of the University of Health Sciences Antigua Medical School. He completed a dental residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where he was also an attending from 1993 to 2000. His anesthesia residency was completed at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center.

Dr. Barnes founded Paramount Ambulatory Anesthesia in 1993, which provides anesthesia for children at dental offices throughout New York and New Jersey. From 2000 to 2001, he held a position at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center (now BronxCare Health System), where he administered anesthesia to special needs and pediatric dental patients. During that time, he also lectured weekly on sedation and anesthesia to the hospital’s dental residents.

Outside of work, Dr. Barnes can be found traveling or volunteering with Patient AirLift Services (PALS) as a general aviation pilot.
